Whispering Pines Haunted Hayride
The zombies are coming to Allentown, and only you can save the farm.
But don’t start hoarding ammunition and boarding up the doors. The zombie invasion is forecast to be limited to the Whispering Pines Christmas Tree Farm’s annual Haunted Hayride. The Haunted Hayride is scheduled for the last two weekends of October and Halloween night.
“It goes through the woods and through the Christmas trees,” “There are a bunch of ghosts and ghouls coming at you — and a bunch of zombies.”
Eerie fog — generated by strategically-placed smoke machines — and spooky music will permeate the woods. The hayride will arrive at various scenes of carnage, including a plane crash and a missile attack. Zombies will accost the hayride, and patrons will be able to defend themselves with paintball guns.
“It’s family-oriented. It’s scary, but it’s not too scary,” “We have little signals we give the actors out in the woods. If it’s just adults only, we spice it up a good bit. If there are a lot of little kids, we tone it down.”
