Ghost Walks at Museum Of Wayne County History

The Museum is located in the 1856 Wayne County Jail and sheriff’s residence. There are 13 rooms of exhibition space and a seasonal Carriage House. The only man hanged in Wayne County was William Fee and he was hanged right in the jail in 1860. Historical tours daily.

Haunted History Ghost Walk
A 60 minute walking tour of Lyons focusing on architecture and paranormal stories and happenings. Reservations are required beforehand by calling the museum. Tours begin at the OLD Courthouse on the north side of the Town Square in Lyons.

Ghost Hunting 101
Great Lakes Spirit Seekers will teach participants to investigate the Museum of Wayne County History and then hand over the equipment and the Ghost Hunting will begin! Presale tickets only, no tickets sold at the door. Then GLSS will compile all of the information from the attendees investigation and reveal their findings.

  • There were 21 people in tonight's group for the walk. Lots of history and spooky tales. Someone had an app on his phone camera that showed ghostly stick figures walking around inside at least two or three of the stops on the walk! Very cool!
