  • To put the bottom line first: You'll get your money's worth. This was an excellent experience.I think its main strength is that it's a young venue. At the time of this review (October 2025), it's only in its second year of operation, so there's still a lot of passion from everyone involved. I had the chance to talk with many of the actors, vendors, and the CEO. Everyone was, at a minimum, extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and most were genuinely enthusiastic to be there.I even got to speak to the proprietor, who built the attractions himself. He was particularly eager for feedback and clearly wants to know where he can apply his efforts to improve the experience with his own hands. This exceedingly rare and refreshing sincerity is the main reason I'm so eager to write this review. The common area has food and drinks from local vendors, a gift shop, and benches and bonfires to mingle and take breaks. A local horror movie production also had a stall, just to share their enthusiasm for the genre (they had a special helper there whom I'm sure everyone would have loved to meet). The Attractions:The Thorne House and Barn of Fears are a 2-in-1 attraction and my personal favorite, with elements I've never seen before. No spoilers, but this was apparently all they had in their first year (2024), and it was enough to rocket them to the success necessary to expand into two new features in just one season. Every actor inside was a blast to interact with, and I nearly jumped out of my shoes at least twice.Trickster's Hollow is a corn maze. I can't give away too many details without spoiling the gimmick, so I'll simply leave you with this cryptic advice: when your party is faced with a "choice," you won't regret choosing "both."The Void is a mixed review. For a haunt veteran like myself, navigating the complete darkness was fun and relaxing. For the couple directly ahead of my party, it was impossible. They got so lost they attempted to leave through the entrance, so my party adopted them and helped guide them out. Talk about an interactive experience! This was the attraction I gave the proprietor direct feedback on. He's trying to delicately balance The Void's gimmick (being lost in the darkness) with the universal Achilles heel of theme parks: long lines. If he makes it hard enough for me to get lost, there'll be 30 people needing to be rescued before the line can move, and it'll quickly snowball into a bad time.Final Thoughts:That's the real key to Milltown Haunt's charm: Genuine Enthusiasm. Though I don't have a solution for him, I have confidence that his passion and candor can find it.I intend to return next year with high expectations, and I can't recommend Milltown Haunt enough. Visit this up-and-coming gem and enjoy it for yourself.
